Will Jacks

19-year-old Jacks is a top order batsman who first played for Surrey at U9 level. Spending the winter of 2017/18 with England U9s at the World Cup in New Zealand, Jacks entered the 2018 season full of confidence.

Appearing in five Championship matches for Surrey this summer, Jacks is a powerful batsman who can dispatch the strongest of bowlers.

Fielding at short-leg in place of the injured Aaron Finch, Jacks was the man of the moment when Surrey beat Lancashire, as he took a spectacular catch to confirm the side’s 6-run victory at the Kia Oval.

Jacks also hit his maiden first-class fifty in Surrey’s second innings against Essex in the final game of the season, ending with 53.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE SEASON: Taking three catches as a substitute fielder at home to Lancashire, including the match-winning screamer at short-leg.
