In his second year at the Club, Borthwick impressed with the bat early in the season.
Batting at three, 28-year-old Borthwick put in some gritty performances to help Surrey grind out results in the opening matches of the competition, and give the side stability when occasionally losing early wickets.
A passionate player, Borthick’s enthusiastic cheers can often be heard ringing out across the Kia Oval.
An athletic player, Borthwick is fantastic in the field and took 13 catches in 2018.
His season was unfortunately cut short due to injury, but he was still awarded his County Cap at lunch on Day One of the final game of the season against Essex for his positive contributions to the Club since joining last summer.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE SEASON: Scott scored 62 against Yorkshire at Scarborough, to help guide Surrey to 229 and victory over the home side.
