Sam Curran

Since coming into the Surrey side at 17-years-old, Sam Curran’s career has moved at breakneck speed.

A breakthrough year for the youngest Curran brother saw him not only make his England debut against India, but also named Player of the Series, receiving glowing praise from opposition Captain Virat Kohli.

Whilst International duty kept him out of the Surrey squad for a couple of games during the summer, Sam formed part of a persistent and rampant pace attack alongside Clarke, Dernbach, McKerr, Morkel, Dunn and Meaker.

Sam also earned his County Cap for Surrey this summer, given to players who have consistently performed well for the side. 25 wickets and 209 runs in just seven matches prove an all-round contribution from ‘Junior’.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE SEASON: Figures of 10/101 against Yorkshire at the Kia Oval, removing England Captain Joe Root in both innings.
