Despite making a late appearance in whites for Surrey this season following a stint in the IPL, International duty and then injury, Roy did not disappoint.
The big-hitting batsman, known for dominant displays in white-ball cricket, came in at three for Surrey against Somerset in Taunton and scored a quick-fire and well-rounded innings of 63.
It was the second innings in the season ending match with Essex that really demonstrated Roy’s precocious talent. 19 fours and two sixes in a rapid century gave Surrey hope of a miraculous victory.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE SEASON: Jason scored 128 batting at three in the final game of the season, his eighth first-class century.
